Bakersfield City Hall

The Bakersfield City Hall ( also City Hall South ) in Bakersfield, California, contains the offices of the mayor and city council members.

The building, completed in 1954 is in Downtown Bakersfield, replacing the destroyed in an earthquake on July 21, 1952 Town Hall. One block west is the City Hall North, are housed in the other portions of the city administration. Before the Bakersfield City Hall stands a statue of the city founder Colonel Thomas Baker, who is listed as a California Historical Landmark.
