Baku FC

FK Baku ( Azerbaijani: Baki Futbol Klubu ) is a football club based in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. Legally, the club is a company with limited liability under Azerbaijani law in the ownership of Baghlan Group. The company is also the main sponsor of the club.

History

2005, the national cup was won. The following year the team failed while in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup at MŠK Žilina, but won the Azerbaijani championship.

2006 and 2009 the Azerbaijani championship was won. In the UEFA Champions League 2009/10 Baku struck in the second qualifying round Ekranas Panevezys in Lithuania and reached the first Azerbaijani team at all the third qualifying round. There, however, Baku lost against the Bulgarian representatives Levski Sofia. 2010 took part in the team at the CIS Cup, where they already failed in the first round after a win against the Vakhsh Qurghonteppa from Tajikistan, a draw against HJK Helsinki from Finland and one defeat against FK Aktobe from Kazakhstan.

Stadium

The home games of the 1997 founded the Association were first held in Tofiq - Bəhramov Stadium. Since 2010 the club has its own sports and training camp (the largest in the country) with 6 stages, which are located in the 9 -th kilometer of the highway Sumgaiter.
