The Oil Academy Baku ( Az: Baki Ali Neft Məktəbi - BANM ) is a technical college in Baku, Azerbaijan, which forms professionals for the oil industry.

History

The school is one of the youngest universities in the Republic. It was founded in 2011, following a Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as an operating branch of SOCAR.

Order

Training objective is to prepare highly qualified specialists with higher education in the field of petrochemicals, the support and the effective use of the potential of talented young people in the socio-economic development of the country in close collaboration with Heriot- Watt University in Scotland.

Partnerships

The Rector of the Oil Academy Baku, Elmar Gasimov, and the rector of Heriot -Watt University, Professor Stiv Chapman, who on 6 February 2013, Edinburgh ( United Kingdom ) signed an agreement on partnership in the joint preparation of professionals in the years 2013 - signed in 2017. Under the terms of the Agreement, the application of the teaching programs in the BANM is conducted with the participation of representatives of Heriot -Watt University. After the completion of all graduates receive diplomas from both universities.
