Geography

Community structure

The municipality comprises the main town Vechta Vechta, belonging to the municipality of farming communities marches village, Harme, whey road, Daren, Elmelage, Lohe, Schledehausen, Tufts and Westerbakum as well as the villages of Carum, Lüsche, Vestrup and Hausstette.

Geology and hydrogeology

History

A special feature in this community is the high proportion of CDU voters. The brand never sank here in local elections so far below 80%. In the European elections in 2004, the CDU won 83.17 % of all votes cast. The Greens could not win a seat in the local elections in 2011 with 233 votes.

Mayor

State Forests Open - Air

Since 2002, the " Life in the Streets " State Forests Open - Air will take place in Vechta / tufts.
