Bald Knoll

Seen Bald Knoll by SW from

The Bald Knoll is the latest in a chain of basaltic cinder cones in the SW part of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah. The crater is well preserved and promoted a basaltic lava flow olivine, which extends up to a distance of 12 km in a south-southeast direction through the Johnson Valley. The exact age of the lava flow is unknown. There are no scientifically proven data on the timing of the emergence of the cinder cone.
