Baldenheim

Soon Home is a commune with 1147 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Sélestat - Erstein, for Canton Marckolsheim and is a member of the Communauté de communes de Sélestat.

History

In Baldenheim a early medieval Spangenhelm was found. These helmets were senior to those people and so the Fund points to an important political function makes the place at that time to go.

From 1324 until the French Revolution, the village belonged to Württemberg. The Rathsamhausen family to stone received the place of Württemberg as a fief.

The Protestant village church was built in the 15th century.

Soon home is the birthplace of the German composer Victor Ernst Nessler ( 1841-1890 ).
