Bale (town)

Bale ( Valle Italian ) is a municipality in Istria County, Croatia. The number of inhabitants of the municipality in 2011 was 1,127. Valle is officially bilingual Italian and Croatian. In addition, the Istriotische language is spoken.

History

Remains of a Roman castrum evidence of the far ancient history of the community. The houses of the old town lie on a limestone hill and are arranged in two concentric circles. Interesting in Bale are the Palazzo Bembo Sorardo - with its two square towers, the remains of a monastery, the loggia and Neo-Baroque parish church of St. Julian ( San Giuliano ) from the year 1880.

Tourism

About 7 kilometers southwest of the town center are located on the Adriatic coast, two large tents. Originally, they were free, but a few years ago must be paid for pitches here.
