Bälinge IF

Bälinge Idrottsförening (short: Bälinge IF) is a Swedish sports club from Bälinge, a small town ten kilometers north-west of Uppsala. The club was founded on 15 March 1936. Figurehead of the club is the women's football department.

Women's Soccer

The first team plays in the Damallsvenskan, the highest division in the Swedish women's football. The club has not won any titles. Greatest success was reaching the 1996 Cup final, where they lost Älvsjö AIK 2-1. The best known player is Josefine Öqvist that the Swedish Olympic team belonged in 2004. Coach of the team is Magnus Wikman.

The club plays its home games at the student Erna's IP in Uppsala, since there is no Damallsvenskataugliches Stadium in Bälinge. The club colors are black and yellow. Originally, the club colors were blue and yellow. Later, only the Swedish national teams were granted the right to wear the colors blue and yellow. Thereafter, the Association changed its colors.
