Ballenberg

The Open Air Museum Ball Mountain is a 1978 -opened exhibition grounds between Brienz and Meiringen over the Aare valley in the Bernese Oberland.

In the open air museum you can find over 100 original century- old buildings from all over Switzerland, 250 farmyard animals, especially endangered breeds, as well as historical crops (vegetables, herbs, cereals ). These are held demonstrations of traditional crafts, traditions and special events, which give insight into past lives. The museum is supported by a private foundation founded in 1968.
