Ballowall Barrow

Carn Gluze (or Gloose - known as the Ballowall Barrow ), is a large cairn on the coast of Cornwall in the United Kingdom with a view of the Isles of Scilly. The excavated in 1870 by William Copeland Borlase complex is located south of Cape Cornwall near St. Just, Cornwall Coast Path on and is in the British Isles without counterpart.

In the center of the plant consists of a large chamber of about 11.3 m in diameter, which is formed from a dry stone wall and was covered by a corbelled. The chamber contained three small stone boxes and at the northeastern end of a cut in the rock T-shaped pit, which is regarded as a symbolic entrance to the underworld.

Later, the monument was rebuilt. A circular platform of about 25 m in diameter, was built around the chamber. She buried the lower part of the chamber, so that only the roof stood out. A passage tomb was built in the southwest on the outer edge and several stone boxes are located below the platform.

The present appearance of the Cairns arising from the use of an excavator dug a trench around the central chamber and a gear. The plant originates from the transition of the stone to the Bronze Age
