Baltic Sea Academy

The Baltic Sea Academy is a network of 15 universities and colleges from nine countries around the Baltic Sea region. The registered association has a non- commercial character and was initiated by the Hanseatic Parliament in February 2010.

The common goal is to strengthen the cooperation between academic institutions and the SME sector. This specific research tasks and innovations are implemented, but also invests in long-term education and training. A particular focus is on the dual training system, see dual degree program.

Hanseatic meetings

Since 2004, once a year is organized jointly with the Hanseatic Parliament a conference, called the Hanseatic meeting. At the conference, lecture next business representatives, scientists and politicians, such as the conference " Renewable Energy and SMEs in the Baltic Sea Region" 2011 EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger, EU Commissioner Algirdas Šemeta or 2012. Following introductory speeches will be discussed at the conference limited to 120 participants at round tables. The presentations and outcomes of the discussions will be published in a publication series of the Baltic Sea Academy.

Publications

Coordinated by a scientific advisory board, published the Baltic Sea Academy irregular scientific conference proceedings of conferences and strategy programs. So far, the following publications have appeared:
