Bamboo Blade
Bamboo Blade (Japaneseバンブー ブレード, Bambu Burēdo ) is drawn by Masahiro Totsuka and Aguri Igarashi of manga, which was published on 3 December 2004 to September 3, 2010 at his Japanese - manga magazine Young Gangan and also in 14 anthologies was published. The series tells the story of the hapless kendo teacher Torajirō Ishida, who is in competition with his former classmate, who is now also a kendo teacher. Always failed in his women's team, he gets Tamaki Kawazoe strong female offspring.
Based on the manga created two manga spin-offs as well as an anime television series, which aired on 2 October 2007 to 2 April 2008 on the broadcaster TV Tokyo. A novel for the series was released in February 2008, Another adaptation as a video game for the PlayStation Portable ,バンブー ブレード~それ から の 挑戦~. ( Bambu Burēdo: Sorekara no Chosen ), was released on 28 May 2009.

Formation and Publications
The value written by Masahiro Totsuka and Aguri Igarashi illustrated by manga was published on 3 December 2004 to September 3, 2010 at his manga magazine Young Gangan. The total of 117 chapters were also summarized in fourteen tankōbon editions, which were published by Square Enix. Together with the 7th manga volume appeared on 25 December 2007, a fanbook titled BAMBOO BLADEファン ブック7.5 and together with the last band on 25 November 2010, another fanbook titled BAMBOO BLADEファン ブック(祝).
In the United States, the manga was licensed by Yen Press in 2008 and published in full in Yen Plus and fourteen anthologies both in the magazine. In France, the manga published by Editions Ki- oon; all fourteen volumes were published between September 2009 and October 2011.
Anime
AIC ASTA adapted the manga into a 26 episodes comprehensive anime television series that was shown in Japan on 2 October 2007 to 2 April 2008 on TV Tokyo.
The series was licensed by Funimation in 2009 for the U.S. market and published in the form of two collection boxes and a complete edition. In the UK, the series was released by Manga Entertainment.

Reception
In the magazine Impact Andrez Bergen described the series from AIC ASTA as a surprise that she was not really. So Bamboo Blade pursues instead of boys to abrackernde high school students a special kendo team. Previously to the studio with Gun × Sword have provided an anime in which a woman had the other characters stole the show.
Bamboo Blade B
A spinoff of the manga titled Bamboo Blade B appears from December 2008 to November 12, 2013 Expected shōnen magazine Shōnen Gagan. This is also written by Masahiro Totsuka and drawn by Neko Sutajio. Until May 2013 eleven anthologies were published.
In this manga, the twelve -year Yū Okido plays the main role, which is like Tamaki also an otaku. Although the tall Yū trained almost every day with Ken, a younger friend from elementary school, Kendo for several years, she does not like the sport. Upon entering high school she suggests the reason offered by classmates and teachers to join a sports club, and chooses instead with her friend Nana to housekeeping course. About the older student Ozawa, who visited two clubs, Yū nevertheless comes to the Kendo club of girls, is liable to be affiliated with the club of boys.
Bamboo Blade C
Another spin-off of the manga titled Bamboo Blade C is published as of 25 May 2013 for his magazine Monthly Gangan Big. This is also written by Masahiro Totsuka, but drawn by Jingu Takao.
