Ban Fang District

Amphoe Ban Fang ( Thai อำเภอ บ้านฝาง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Khon Kaen. Khon Kaen is located in the western part of Northeast Thailand, Isaan.

History

Ban Fang was established as a small district ( King Amphoe ) on 1 May 1975, triggered by figuring out the four Tambon Nong Bua, Pa Wai Nang, Ban Lao and non Amphoe Mueang Khong Khon Kaen. Ban Fang was finally upgraded on March 25, 1979 a full Amphoe.

Geography

Amphoe Ban Fang is located in the north central region of the province of Khon Kaen and borders seen from the north clockwise from the Ubon Ratana Amphoe, Mueang Khon Kaen, Phra Yuen, Mancha Khiri and Nong Ruea. All Amphoe located in the province of Khon Kaen.

Management

Amphoe Ban Fang consists of 7 sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 46 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Ban Fang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านฝาง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Ban Fang,
  • Non Khong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน ฆ้อง ) made the whole tambon Non Khong,
  • Pa Manao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ป่า มะนาว ) made the whole Tambon Pa Manao,
  • Khok Ngam ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โคก งาม ) consisting Tambon Khok Ngam throughout.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
