Ban Luang District

Amphoe Ban Luang ( Thai อำเภอ บ้านหลวง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Nan. The Nan Province is located in the northeast of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Nan and the Wiang Sa Nan Province, Amphoe Song Phrae province, Amphoe Chiang Muan and the Pong and the province of Phayao.

History

Ban Luang was founded on 15 May 1975 as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ), consisting of the three Tambon Pa Kha Luang, Suat and Ban Phi, which were split off from Mueang Nan district. On 20 October 1993, the sub-district received the full Amphoe status.

Attractions

  • National Parks: National Park Nanthaburi ( อุทยานแห่งชาติ นันท บุรี ) - of 548 125 rai (about 877 km ²) large park extends into the district of Tha Wang Pha, it consists of high mountains, such as the Yod Doi Wao ( ยอด ดอย วาว ) with a height of 1674 meters. Worth seeing is the artesian source Ban Namki ( บ่อ น้ำพุ ร้อน บ้าน น้ำ กิ ) with up to 80 ° C hot water and numerous waterfalls.

Management

The circle is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are divided further into 26 villages ( Muban ).

There are four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
