Ban Mai Chaiyaphot District
Amphoe Ban Mai Chaiyaphot ( Thai: อำเภอ บ้าน ใหม่ ไชย พจน์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
Neighboring districts ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Phutthaisong the Buriram Province, Amphoe Mueang Yang and the Prathai in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima, and Amphoe Nong Song Hong in the province of Khon Kaen.
History
Ban Mai Chaiyaphot was on 1 April 1992 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by five Tambon were separated from Amphoe Phutthaisong. On October 11, 1997, he was promoted to Amphoe.
Management
The district of Ban Mai Chaiyaphot is divided into five subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 55 villages ( Muban ).
Ban Mai Chaiyaphot ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ใหม่ ไชย พจน์ ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Nong Waeng.
There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
