Ban Phraek District

Amphoe Ban Phraek ( Thai: อำเภอ บ้านแพรก ) is the northernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Ayutthaya province. The Ayutthaya Province located in the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Lopburi Province Lop Buri, Amphoe Don Phut Province Saraburi, Amphoe Maha Rat Ayutthaya Province and Amphoe Chaiyo Ang Thong province.

History

Ban Phraek in 1937 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by Tambon Phraek was separated from Amphoe Maha Rat. On December 10, 1959, he got the full Amphoe status.

Administrative divisions

Amphoe Ban Phraek is divided into five communities ( tambon), which continued in 27 village communities ( Muban ) are broken.

Ban Phraek itself ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านแพรก ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of tambon Ban Phraek and Sam Phaniang.

There are also two - Tambon administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
