Ban Thaen District

Amphoe Ban Thaen ( Thai: อำเภอ บ้านแท่น ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Chaiyaphum. The Chaiyaphum Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

The neighboring districts are starting clockwise from the southwest: the Amphoe Kaeng Khro and Phu khiao in the province of Chaiyaphum, and Amphoe Nong Ruea Mancha Khiri, and the province of Khon Kaen.

History

Ban Thaen was posted on June 16, 1965 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the Tambon Suan Sam, Ban Tao and Ban Thaen from Amphoe Phu khiao were separated. On February 25, 1969, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Ban Thaen is in five communities ( tambon) divided which in turn consist of 66 villages ( Muban ).

There is also a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Ban Thaen ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านแท่น ) consists of parts of tambon Ban Thaen.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
