Band III

VHF Band III (short: Volume III or VHF -H ) is the name for the frequency range in the VHF range 174-230 megahertz (MHz).

In this frequency range, the DAB band channels are housed 5A to 12D and parts of cable television. The antenna is broadcasting via terrestrial transmitter networks.

In DVB- T VHF Band III is no longer used (at least in Germany ), it will only use the UHF band, since the VHF band III phones can not receive DVB- T reception. This tape was freigräumt for the Digital Terrestrial radio, as in Band II (FM ) find no reserves for simultaneous analog and digital operation more.
