Band ohne Namen

The band with no name (short: BON) was a German pop band from Berlin. It was founded in 1995 under the name The Alliance by Guy Gross and Claus Capek.

Band History

Guy Gross ( born 7 January 1977) and Claus Capek (born 22 November 1976) was born in Berlin. Both left the city at a young age; Gross went to Oglesby, Illinois (USA), and Capek to Mahlow in Brandenburg.

Both came after a few years returned to Berlin. At the age of 18 years, the two were ordered to participate in the production of a video presentation about Berlin. They quickly realized that they were on the same wavelength, and decided to make music together.

First tracks were recorded in Capek's " mini home recording studio " in the parental home. After the demo tapes were sent.

With the help of Capek's fellow students of the Musikhochschule Berlin a live band was put together. Some prizes were won by: EPP band Award (1997 ), Rio Reiser Prize ( 1997) and rock competition Brandenburg ( 1997). Meanwhile, the band can no name on two successful albums and Gold Awards (including two Golden tuning forks, a gold single ) look back at home and abroad.

The band's name was previously "The alliance ". Contrast, however, complained of the same insurance company Allianz and won. Thus, the band got its name. The music channel VIVA, meanwhile, had gone over to write with music videos of the group only " band with no name ". This designation liked the fans and the group so well that they will soon be officially " band with no name " called themselves.

2003 was the end for the band. The two parted with her ​​label and worked on solo projects. Claus Capek has worked as a producer and has worked with MCR his own record label. In addition, he founded in 2010 together with the rapper Sera Finale tape duo club. The first release of the band was the EP I saw you last night on Youporn seen, however, was only available as a download.

Guy Gross published two plates, but had no success.
