Bandau is a district of the municipality Beetzendorf in Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

The village is located about 7 km north- west of blocks in the Jeetzeniederung.

The community of Bandau the districts Bandau, Poppau and Peertz services (both districts were on 1 July 1950 after Bandau incorporated ).

History

For the first time Bandau 1420 documentary mention. In the 16th and 17th century the place was desolate. 1691 was a good from the waste places Bandau and Leichow. This was initially the name Leichau. This former estate was south of Peertz, where the ruins of the old church can be seen. Poppau was first documented in 1363. It was formerly from 13 Halbspännerhöfen and was conscripted to Count von der Schulenburg in Beetzendorf.

The settlement Bandau was in the Jeetze lowlands in what is now Old Bandau ( Haufendorf ). 1818 here is a small village church was built. The center of this village was burned down on June 6, 1832, only 6 residential building and the church could be saved. In the same year began the construction of a new local location 600 m east along the path of blocks to Beetzendorf on drier ground and in more generous development ( street village ). The relocation of the village church and two other farms followed in 1850.

Due to a change in the contract area, the municipal council of the municipality Bandau decided on 27 October 2008 that the municipality Bandau is incorporated into the community Beetzendorf. This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2009.

After incorporation of the previously autonomous municipality Bandau Bandau, Poppau and Peertz were districts of the municipality Beetzendorf. For powered finished my community the village constitution according to § § 86 et seq of the Municipal Code of Saxony -Anhalt has been introduced. The municipality is my finished Bandau and future districts Bandau, Poppau and Peertz been to the village of the receiving community Beetzendorf. In the eingemeindeten community and nunmehrigen village Bandau a Ortschaftsrat was formed with five members, including mayor.
