Bandini (Hindi: बन्दिनी, Bandini, Urdu: بندنی; translated: caught ) is a Hindi film directed by Bimal Roy in 1963 and is one of the most famous works of the director.

Action

1934: Kalyani comes in a women's prison, where she has to serve eight years for murder. When the guards it is very popular. Background

The film is based on a book by Jarasandha ( civil Charuchandra Chakraborty ), a former director of the Central Prison in Alipur, who recorded his experiences to fictional stories.

The film songs are sung by Asha Bhosle, Sachin Dev Burman, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh, the lyrics come from Shailendra. For the construction of the film of busy Designer Sudhendu Roy was responsible.

Bandini is one of the masterpieces of Bimal Roy, who died three years after this film and as one of the best Indian film directors of his time applies.
