Bandy World Cup
Bandy World Cup is an annual, 1974-2008 in the Swedish town Ljusdal, since 2009 in Sandviken, material discharged international Bandyturnier for professional teams ( men's teams ). It is the largest of its kind in the world.
The first tournament was held in 1974, then known as " DAF Cupen ". the Dutch automotive company DAF was then the main sponsor. Over the years, the tournament was played under different names, usually according to the current main sponsor:

- Since 1976 - " Dex - cupen "
- Since 1980 - " Dex World Cup"
- Since 1984 - "World Cup Ljusdal "
- Since 1986 - " SJ World Cup"
- Since 1999 - " Ljusdal World Cup"
- Since 2004 - " Polar World Cup"
- Since 2005 - " ExTe World Cup"
In the early years, the tournament had some problems to find enough teams that wanted to participate in it. Today also a B tournament is played for teams from countries ( eg USA, Canada, Hungary, the Netherlands), where the Bandysport only has a recent history and the teams are not as well established next to the main tournament.
