Banedanmark

Banedanmark ( BDK ) is a Danish railway infrastructure company based in Copenhagen and administrator of the Danish state railway network.

The company originated in 1997 as Banestyrelsen when the rail network was disconnected from the train traffic. Prior to 1997, the DSB were responsible for both rail network and rail traffic. 2004, the name was changed to Banedanmark.

The name means transmit path and Denmark would actually grammatically correct in two words are written, as it is pronounced.

The rail network and the traffic of private railways is managed in Denmark by the Danish Regions.
