Bang Klam District

Amphoe Bang Klam ( Thai: อำเภอ บาง กล่ำ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Songkhla. The Songkhla province in Southern Thailand is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts and territories ( from the south clockwise): the Amphoe Hat Yai, Khuan Niang Rattaphum and in the province of Songkhla. In the northeast of Thale Sap.

History

Bang Klam was born on January 7, 1986 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by four Tambon from Amphoe Hat Yai were separated. On 8 September 1995 Bang Klam has been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Bang Klam is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 36 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Tha Chang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่าช้าง ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) within the district. This consists of the whole tambon Tha Chang.

In addition, there are three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
