Bang Kruai District

Amphoe Bang Kruai ( Thai: อำเภอ บางกรวย ) is a district ( Amphoe ) of the province of Nonthaburi. The Nonthaburi province is located in the middle of Central Thailand.

Geography

The neighboring Amphoe are from clockwise from the north: the Amphoe Bang Yai Mueang Nonthaburi Nonthaburi Province and. In the east and south, the districts ( Khet ) Bang Phlat, Taling Chan and Thawi Watthana of Bangkok close to. To the west lies the Phutthamonthon Amphoe Nakhon Pathom province.

History

The county was created in 1904 under the name of Bang Yai. Due to its size, it was, however, to mismanage. Therefore, the northern part was split off in 1917 and the sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Bang Mae Nang appointed. Bang Mae Nang received the 1921 Amphoe status.

On October 19, 1930, the Amphoe Bang Yai was renamed Kruai Bang, Bang Mae Nang simultaneously renamed again back to the old name of Bang Yai.

Management

The district is divided into nine subdistricts ( tambon), which in turn in 60 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Bang Kruai ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง บางกรวย ) itself has since 2002 a city - state ( thesaban Mueang ), it consists of parts of the tambon Bang Kruai and Wat Chalo.

In addition, there are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Plai Bang (since 1999, Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปลาย บาง ) consists of the whole Tambon Plai Bang Bang Khu Wiang and as well as parts of the Tambon Maha Sawat,
  • Sala Klang ( since 2008, Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศาลา กลาง ) consists of the whole tambon Sala sound,
  • Bang Si Thong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บาง สี ทอง ) consists of the whole Tambon Bang Si Thong.

There are also three administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
