Bang Nam Priao District

Amphoe Bang Nam Priao ( in Thai: อำเภอ บางน้ำเปรี้ยว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northwestern province of Chachoengsao. The Chachoengsao province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts ( from the southeast clockwise): Amphoe Khlong Khuean and the Mueang Chachoengsao province of Chachoengsao, The District ( Khet ) Nong Chok of Bangkok, Amphoe Lam Luk Ka of Pathum Thani Province, Amphoe Nakhon Nayok Province in the Ongkharak and Amphoe Ban sang in the province of Prachinburi.

The largest rivers of the district are the Maenam Bang Pakong and Khlong Saen Saep.

History

The center of the original county Bang Nam Priao was in Ban Ton Samrong in Tambon Bang Khanak. In 1905, the government allowed a new administration building in Tambon Bang Nam Priao build. 1952 expanded the government a new building on the north bank of the Khlong Bang Khanak ( Khlong Saen Saep ). The current administration building was built in 1997.

Management

The circle is divided into ten subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 148 villages ( Muban ).

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Bang Nam Priao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บางน้ำเปรี้ยว ) consists of parts of Tambon Bang Nam Priao and Phrong Akat,
  • Don Chimphli ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน ฉิมพลี ) consists of parts of the tambon Don Chimphli,
  • Bang Khanak ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บาง ขนาก ) consists of parts of the tambon Bang Khanak,
  • Sala Daeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศาลาแดง ) consists of parts of the tambon Sala Daeng,
  • Don Ko Ka ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน เกาะ กา ) consists of the whole tambon Don Ko Ka

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
