Bang Rachan District

Amphoe Bang Rachan ( Thai: อำเภอ บางระจัน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Singburi. Singburi is located in the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Sankhaburi Chainat Province, Amphoe In Buri who, Mueang Singburi and Khai Bang Rachan Singburi Province and Amphoe Bang Nang Buat Doem the province of Suphanburi.

History

The greater part of the present county Bang Rachan was in the past a part of the historical Mueang Sing einrichteten again when the government Mueang Sing, the area was divided into two parts - Bang Phutsa (now Mueang Sing Buri) and Sing 1993, the district renamed Bang Rachan.

The first administrative building of the district was on the right bank of the Noi River in Tambon Choeng Klat. In 1898 it was moved to the left bank to the Tambon Sing.

Management

The district of Bang Rachan is divided into eight subdistricts (tambon ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Bang Rachan ( Thai เทศบาล ตำบล บางระจัน ), consisting of parts of the tambon Sing, Choeng Klat and Pho Chon Kai.
  • Mae La ( Thai เทศบาล ตำบล แม่ ลา ), consisting of the entire Tambon Mae La, as well as from other parts of the tambon Sing and Pho Chon Kai.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
