Bang Sao Thong District

Amphoe Bang Sao Thong ( Thai: อำเภอ บางเสาธง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province ( Changwat ) Samut Prakan in Central Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Lat Krabang ( a Khet Bangkok ) and the Amphoe Bang Bo and Bang Phli Samut Prakan province.

History

( Thai: May Mueang Bang Phli ) From 1992 to 1993, the " New City Bang Phli " emerged as a residential area for families with higher incomes. The area around the town, consisting of three Tambon, was then separated from the Amphoe Bang Phli and on 1 April 1995 initially set up as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ).

With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007 Bang Sao Thong Amphoe officially received full status.

The new city consists of about 20,000 single-family houses, where about 100,000 people live. Directly east of the town center there is a shopping center, the administration building in the city are again east of the shopping center.

Education

In Amphoe Bang Sao Thong is the Suvarnabhumi Campus of private Assumption University (Thailand).

Management

Amphoe Bang Sao Thong is available in three communities ( tambon) divided, in turn, in 39 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Bang Sao Thong itself ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บางเสาธง ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon Bang Sao Thong and Sisa Chorakhe Yai.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
