Bang Saphan Noi District

Amphoe Bang Saphan Noi ( Thai: อำเภอ บางสะพาน น้อย ) is the southernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan. The Prachuap Khiri Khan province is the southernmost province of the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions: Amphoe Bang Saphan Prachuap Khiri Khan is located north, Amphoe Tha Sae and Amphoe Pathio Chumphon Province to the south of the county. To the west is the Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar, to the east of the Gulf of Thailand.

History

The area of present-day circle Bang Saphan Noi originally belonged to the Amphoe Bang Saphan. On June 10, 1974, he was set up initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ). On July 13, 1981, he officially received the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Bang Saphan Noi is in five communities ( tambon) divided, which are further subdivided into 41 villages ( Muban ).

Bang Saphan Noi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บางสะพาน น้อย ) itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon): it consists of parts of the tambon Bang Saphan.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
