Banitsa
As Baniza [ banitsɐ ] ( Bulgarian Баница, other spellings: Banica, Banitsa, Banitza ) used refers to a puff pastry from Bulgaria, which in a similar form as " Gibanica " is known in other Balkan countries, and close with burek, burek or pita is.
The Baniza may contain various fillings. Widely used is a cheese filling brine ( Сирене siren ) with or without spinach. The Baniza is usually baked in a round or triangular shape. For this purpose, yogurt ( Кисело мляко ) are served. It is the main component of the Christmas and New Year food. In the Baniza for these festivals paper strips are baked with future interpretations.
