Baniyas SC
The Baniyas SC (Arabic نادي بني ياس الرياضي, also Bani Yas ) is a sports club based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The football section of the club founded in 1982, plays in the highest league in the country, the Arabian Gulf League. Current coach is former Uruguay international Jorge da Silva.
The biggest success of the seven-time champion 's victory in the GCC Champions League 2013 under coach Jozef Chovanec. In the 2010/11 season it was the club already managed to qualify for the second year after the rise of the 2nd League as runners-up for the AFC Champions League 2012, in the knockout stage has been reached. As the fourth -placed club in the 2012/13 season, the club also qualified for the AFC Champions League 2014.
