The company Bank of East Asia (Chinese东亚 银行), SEHK: 0023, abbreviated BEA is the largest independent bank in Hong Kong. The bank was founded in 1918 in Hong Kong. The company has a market capitalization of around 2.5 billion U.S. dollars ( 2006) and is listed on the Hang Seng Index.
