Banner

Banners are usually large-scale prints that are used for advertising purposes, particularly in the area of outdoor advertising and to call attention to something.

Banners are printed on PVC fabric foil or mesh grid mostly with solvents or by UV direct printing. New environmentally friendly pressure by Latex Inks (previously Latex printers are manufactured only by HP and Mimaki ). Most banners are provided all around with piping, eyelets or hemstitch. Thanks to digital printing large format banners are comparatively affordable to produce today, even in very small print runs.

For the purpose of aerial advertising up to 100 meters long banner towing by engine aircraft or ultralights can be drawn through the air. In general, however, cloth banners from polyesters are used for this purpose.

Since PVC is used because of the low cost for short-term advertising inserts, produced a relatively large amount of waste. Some manufacturers therefore offer the free take-back for recycling purposes.
