Banphot Phisai District

Amphoe Banphot Phisai ( Thai: อำเภอ บรรพตพิสัย ) is the northernmost district ( Amphoe ) of Nakhon Sawan. The Nakhon Sawan Province is located in the southern part of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts ( from northeast clockwise): Amphoe Bueng the Na Pho Thale rank and the province of Phichit, the Amphoe Kao Liao, Mueang Nakhon Sawan and Lat Yao of Nakhon Sawan and Amphoe Khanu Woralaksaburi and Bueng Samakkhi of Kamphaeng Phet province.

History

Originally Tambon Ta Sang was the central tambon. In 1910, the government transferred the administration of the west bank of the Maenam Ping in the area of Tambon Tha Ngiew.

Management

Amphoe Banphot Phisai is ( tambon) divided into 13 municipalities, which in turn in 117 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Banphot Phisai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บรรพตพิสัย ) itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of the tambon Tha Phon Charoen and Ngio.

There are also 13 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
