Bantayan Island

Bantayan is a Philippine island in the Visayan Sea, in the Pacific.
Location
The island is located northwest of the island of Cebu. Its length is approximately 16 km ( north-south), the width is about 10 km, it includes 116.4 km ². Southwest and east are Kinatarkan, Hilantagaan and other small islands. The Philippine main island of Negros located in the southwest and Panay to the west. On the island lived about 120,000 inhabitants in 2000. It belongs to the province of Cebu.
The island is accessible by ferry from the port in Barangay Hagnaya to Cebu or from Sagay City Negros. The Bantayan Airport small airport ( ICAO code: RPSB ) is located near the city of Santa Fe and is served by the airline Mid -Sea Express.
