Banteay Kdei

Banteay Kdei is one of the mid-12th to the early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII ( 1181-1220 ) built the monastery complex in Angkor. The construction is similar to Ta Prohm, but is less and less decorated. Because of the poor design and the brittle sandstone he is now in poor condition.

King Jayavarman VII had him as the first of the three monastic complex built for his teacher in Angkor (before Neak Pean and Ta Prohm ).
