Bantva Manavadar

Manavadar ( Bantva - Manavadar ) was a princely state of British India in the east of the Kathiawar peninsula to the city Bantva in what is now the state of Gujarat. The principality was founded in 1733 by Khan Sahib Diler Khan Salabat Muhammad Khan Babi, the brother of the Nawab of Junagadh. 1807-1947 Principality was the British protectorate. Ghulam Moinuddin Khan Fatehuddin Khan Babi ( 1931-56 ) was raised to the Nawab. Manavadar in 1921 an area of 574 km ² and 23,000 inhabitants.

The Nawab decided as a Muslim as his relative in Junagadh in September 1947 for connection to Pakistan, this decision rejected but again, joined the Union and Saurashtra took place on 15 February 1948, after India ( see History of India). On November 1, 1956 all princely states were dissolved and the State of Bombay incorporated. Due to the division of Bombay on May 1, 1960 Manavadar came to Gujarat.
