Baptism is the seventh studio album by Lenny Kravitz.

On the origin

Kravitz originally wanted to record a radio album in the style of the 1970s. The proposed title was The Funk album. However, he decided ultimately it, even though some pieces were already completed in this style, resorting to the song writing for the album on the acoustic guitar. This was triggered by a visit to New York City.
