Barban

Barban (Italian Barbana d'Istria ) is a village in the Istria County, Croatia. The community has 2011 2.721 inhabitants according to the census. Barban is located 28 km northeast of Pula on the Rasa valley to 229 m.

History

1374 came the village under Habsburg rule. From 1508 to 1516, in the war between Austria and Venice, the village was badly damaged and fell to Venice.
