Barbara Gruber

Barbara Gruber ( * December 15, 1977 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a German ski mountaineer and alpine athlete. She is a member of the German national ski mountaineering and is the reigning German Champion in ski mountaineering and in the vertical race.

Life

Originally from a family of farmers Gruber has three siblings and completed the training as farmer and as a certified housekeeper. After the birth of her son, she began to compensate with the sport, first with the mountain biking, a sport in which she also successfully participate in competitions and 2007 first among other places at the " Glocknerkönig light" race in the " Hochstein Trophy", while St. Vitus mountain race ( team), when Heutal mountain ITT, the " Bike Festival Kaprun " and the " Saalachtaltrophy " achieved.

In ski mountaineering they already took, among other international competitions and the World Championship of ISMC part. Since 2005, she also belongs to the international Dynafit team.

She lives with her family near Weissbach bei Lofer, Austria.
