Barbara Rush

Barbara Rush ( born January 4, 1927 in Denver, Colorado ) is an American actress.

Life

Rush studied at the University of California and took acting lessons during this time at the Pasadena Playhouse. In 1950, she starred in her first film, the Paramount production The Goldbergs. Two of her most famous films of the 1950s she was shooting for Universal, Came from Outer Space and the wonderful power. In 1954 she received for Came from Outer Space Golden Globe Award for Best Young Actress. In the 1960s, their activities are shifted increasingly into television. From 1980 to 1982 she appeared in the U.S. series Flamingo Road with. A younger audience she became known for her role as Ruth Camden on the television series A heavenly family.

Rush married in 1950 the actor Jeffrey Hunter; Son Christopher Hunter came in 1952 to the world. The couple divorced in 1955. In 1959 she married her second husband, Warren Cowan, with whom she was married until 1969. With him she has a daughter, the Fox journalist Claudia Cowan. In 1970, Jim Rush Gruzalski married. This marriage was divorced again in 1973.
