Barbara Schurz

Barbara Schurz (* 1973 in Klagenfurt / Carinthia ) is an Austrian artist.

Her works have been exhibited, inter alia, in London and Venice. She studied at the University of Vienna and Slavic women's studies. In the Academy of Fine Arts, she studied conceptual art. She works as an artist and author, inter alia, in Vienna, Moscow and Berlin.

Together with Alexander Brener Barbara Schurz has published several books that move between the boundaries of art and politics, and are influenced by post-structuralist theory, philosophers such as Michel Foucault. The fabric of the novel written in English Bukaka Spat Here was the fall of 2002 from Volxtheater favorites for the performance Bukaka says: Another war is taken up possible.
