Bard on the Beach
Bard on the Beach ( Bard on the beach) is the largest theater festival in Western Canada. It will be held in Vancouver since 1990 every summer. A professional, not -for-profit theater company with over 30 actors leads to three or four plays of William Shakespeare in continuous respectively from end of May to end of September season. The game is played on two outdoor stages, the main stage with 520 seats and the Douglas Campbell Studio Stage with 240 seats. These are located in the Kitsilano neighborhood in Vanier Park. In 2006, over 80,000 spectators were counted.
