Bərdə is a town in Azerbaijan and the capital of the surrounding district Bərdə. In the city the river Tərtər 2008 there were over 40,100 inhabitants.

History

Bərdə, Armenian P ʿ artaw, was the Shah of the Sassanid Empire Peroz I as Peroz - abad ( Perozstadt ), after perhaps at the site of an older Armenian settlement, founded in the name and by Kavadh I. under the name Peroz - Kavadh ( " Victorious Kavadh " Peroz middle Persian means " the winner " ) attached.
