Bari metropolitan railway service
The servizio ferroviario metropolitano di Bari (it: Urban rail transport operation Bari) is operated by the Ferrotramviaria railway system in the southern Italian city of Bari.
History
For the development of the built from the 1960s, satellite town of San Paolo was approved by the city council to build a suburb union railway line in 1999.
The branch line was opened on 24 June 2008. After several months of testing the suburban traffic was inaugurated as the FM1 line on 22 December 2008.
On July 20, 2013, the second line ( FM2) was put into operation. It connects with the city of Bari Bitonto about the airport of Bari.
Planning
Extension of the FM1
It is planned, the route continues to extend until Quartier regioni ( 1.5 km). In the field of community Modugno the breakpoint Cecilia should arise.
