Barkat Gourad Hamadou

Barkat Gourad Hamadou (Arabic بركات غوراد حمادو; * 1930) is a politician from Djibouti.

Career

Hamadou was appointed Senator of the French Somali Coast, which later became the French Afars and Issas Territory, elected on 26 September 1965. On September 22, 1974, he was re-elected. On June 30, 1980, he resigned from his position as a senator back. Hamadou was dated 2 October 1978 to March 7, 2001 Prime Minister of Djibouti. In 2000 he spent several months in France for medical treatment after suffering a stroke. Although he was re-elected as Vice President of his party, the Rassemblement Populaire pour le Progres (RPP ) in early 2001, he announced his resignation for health reasons.
