Barleux

Barleux ( Picard: berlu ) is a commune with 258 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region of northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton Peronne and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Haute Somme.

Geography

The municipality is located five kilometers south-west of Barleux Peronne; seen large-scale, between Amiens and Saint- Quentin.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
