Barloworld (cycling team)
The Team Barloworld was a British cycling team.
The sponsor Barloworld specializes in management and the second sponsor Valsir is a waste disposal company. The team was founded in 2003 by John Robertson as the South African team, ran in 2004 under Italian license and was from 2005 British. The leader of the team were the two former Italian cyclist Alberto Elli and Valerio Tebaldi. The most famous riders in the Professional Continental team was the World Champion from 2003 Igor Astarloa, who drove two years for the team from 2005 to 2006. With the Konica Minolta team of Barloworld team also had a farm team.
After the announcement of the positive doping finding Moisés Dueñas in the Tour de France 2008, the sponsor Barloworld announced his retirement after the end of the tour. In October of this, however, decided to continue the sponsorship for another year. According to the 2009 season, the team was disbanded, the British driver changed mostly for the Sky Professional Cycling Team.
