Barney Martin

Barney Martin ( March 3, 1923 in Queens, New York, † 21 March 2005 in Studio City in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.

The former police officer Martin was discovered by Mel Brooks for the film. He had his first appearance in Brooks ' comedic musical The Producers / Springtime for Hitler. Martin worked successfully as a comedian, writer for various television productions and as an actor in mostly comedic roles as in the sequels to Arthur - No child of sadness (where he played the father of Liza Minnelli ) or splash. He also starred in numerous TV series guest or recurring roles. The best known case is likely his role as Morty Seinfeld, father of Jerry Seinfeld in the sitcom be, which he took over from Philip Bruns 1990 and embodied to the setting of the series in 1998.

Barney Martin was married and had two children.
