Barnhouse Settlement
The settlement consisted of 15 houses, within which pottery, flint and stone tools were found that might have come through trade by Barnhouse. Particularly interesting is the fact that every building in the village was demolished deliberately in the end. Apart from the fact that the houses have no connection with each other, there is great similarity with the younger Skara Brae.
One of the particular physical structures of the settlement include " House 2 " and " Structure 8 " that go beyond the usual dimensions. The settlement was covered by the excavation and reconstructed again at the surface by low stone slabs. In the vicinity are the Stones of Stenness.
